Best Ham Casseroles

Cheese-Ham Brunch Casserole

  • 10 slices white bread
  • 3/4 pound cheddar cheese, grated
  • 2 cups baked ham, cubed
  • 1 teaspoon hot mustard seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne papper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Morton's Nature seasoning
  • 3/4 pound Monterey Jack, grated
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 8 eggs slightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire

Butter bread on one side, then cube.  Grease a large shallow baking dish.  Put in 1/2 of the bread cubes, them 1/2 the cheeses, 1/2 ham, 1/2 onion and repeat all.  Combine the rest of the ingredients and pour over layers.  Refrigerate 8-24 hours then bake at 325 degrees for one hour.  Serve hot as an entree.  Can be baked and reheated.  May also be frozen after baking.  Serves 8-10
