Sprinkle chicken with garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste. Spread out in a 9x13 pan. Add sliced of onions and diced green peppers. Cover with 2 cans cream of chicken soup. Bake uncovered 1 hour at 325 degrees.
Debone chicken and break up. Mix all ingredients except cheese and broth together in bowl. Add chicken broth. Put mixture in greased 9x13 baking dish. Refrigerate overnight. Before baking, top with grated cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, uncovered.
